MOM created a tank repair team using local content that went on to fully dry grit blast and paint an entire tank on a live FPSO (6500m2). An evaluation centre was set up onshore in West Africa where the local content were appraised and individually assessed. The following stage involved training to ensure all team members met a minimum standard where certain personnel received more training than others.

The results were exceptional. The local trades received invaluable training and experience and the operator made incredible savings on flight and immigration costs, along with the labour rate. The work was supervised onsite by MOM personnel and independently evaluated to ensure it met the required standards.
