MOM completed a structural renewal project on a pipe laying and crane vessel, which had 91m² of its main deck upgraded. SPS was used to reinstate and strengthen the main deck to a higher loading capacity.

A small team boarded the vessel in Spain and undertook surface preparation and cavity installation, whilst the vessel was in transit to Cyprus.

On arrival in Cyprus, all seven cavities were injected in one day with the polyurethane core to create the SPS composite. Just one hour after the elastomer injection, plugs were fitted into the injection and vent holes before being painted to complete the repair.
